As adults, we juggle several priorities and responsibilities every single day and some of these areas—whether career, family, self-esteem, relationships, personal aspirations or even past experiences—if not managed properly, could potentially cause stress, burnout and/or other negative emotions/behaviours. This, in turn, hinders our ability to live a more fulfilled and happy life.
Therapy can provide you with the added support and resources needed to help you learn new coping strategies, develop greater confidence, improve habits, strengthen communication skills, and solidify a sense of meaning and purpose. Therapy can also provide you with an opportunity to see yourself and your present situation from a different perspective, approach life and its challenges with a new mind-set, and feel more empowered to make better decisions.

An adult’s progressive therapeutic journey will look like:
The initial consultation will serve as an intake session. The purpose is to gather relevant information about the client’s needs and challenges and to begin to establish rapport.
A general assessment to better understand the client’s symptoms and experiences. (This is different from the psychological assessments listed under the adult assessment services)
The assessment will provide valuable insights into the client’s condition, define goals, and formulate the most suitable therapeutic plan.
The number and format of sessions required will depend on various factors, such as the severity of the presentation, the individual’s progression pace, supportive factors etc.
When the client’s defined goals and progress have been achieved, the recommendation will be made to discontinue sessions. This will be carried out in a manner that will ensure a seamless transition for the client.
Therapy Sessions Duration
